Every Hamiltonian should be able to get where they need to go safely, reliably and efficiently.
Four years after running on a commitment to Fix the Roads, Keanin Loomis is building on that promise with a broader plan to improve how Hamilton builds infrastructure, connects communities and moves people to opportunity.
Fixing how Hamilton moves takes more than fixing pavement. It means planning ahead, maintaining what we have and making the pieces work together.
Keanin Loomis’ SMART Plan will:

✓ Build smarter and reduce disruption by coordinating major infrastructure work and planning for Hamilton’s urban and rural communities.

Rural Hamilton Infrastructure Strategy
As mayor, Keanin Loomis will introduce a Rural Hamilton Infrastructure Strategy, a long-term approach to maintaining and improving rural roads, bridges, culverts and drainage while setting clear priorities based on safety, condition and community needs.
Routes to Opportunity
As mayor, Keanin Loomis will launch Routes to Opportunity, a coordinated approach to improve connections between HSR, LRT and GO, strengthen access to jobs and services, and address transportation gaps for Hamiltonians who face barriers getting where they need to go.
