VOTING INFORMATION

October is election month. Hamilton’s municipal election is on October 26. There are several ways to vote, including advance voting on three weekends throughout October.

Plan ahead and make your vote for Keanin Loomis count.

Election Day is October 26, but you don’t have to wait until then to vote. Advance voting is available across Hamilton on:

• • October 3–4 (from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.)
  • October 10–11 (from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.)
  • and October 17–18 (from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.)

You can vote at the advance polling location in your ward:

• • Ward 1 – Dalewood Recreation Centre (1152 Main Street West)
  • Ward 2 – Bennetto Recreation Centre (450 Hughson Street North)
  • Ward 3 – Bernie Morelli Recreation Centre (876 Cannon Street East)

  • Ward 5 – Dominic Agostino Riverdale Community Centre (150 Violet Drive)
  • Ward 6 – Huntington Park Recreation Centre (87 Brentwood Drive)
  • Ward 7 – Sackville Hill Seniors Centre (780 Upper Wentworth Street)
  • Ward 8 – Westmount Recreation Centre (35 Lynbrook Drive)

  • Ward 10 – Stoney Creek Municipal Building (777 Highway 8, Stoney Creek)

  • Ward 12 – Ancaster Rotary Centre (385 Jerseyville Road West, Ancaster)
  • Ward 13 – Dundas Lions Memorial Community (10 Market Street South, Dundas)
  • Ward 14 – Chedoke Twin Pad Arena (91 Chedmac Drive)
  • Ward 15 – Flamborough Seniors Centre (163 Dundas Street East, Flamborough)

When you vote, bring one piece of identification showing your name and qualifying address. You do not need to bring your voter information card.

If you’d rather vote on Election Day, you can cast your ballot on Monday, October 26, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

This year, you have more flexibility about where you vote. You can vote at any polling location in your ward, rather than being assigned to one specific location. Use the City of Hamilton’s polling location finder to find a voting location in your ward.

You do not need your voter information card to vote. Just bring one piece of identification showing your name and qualifying address.
