CAMPAIGN NEWS

Keanin Loomis officially registered today as a candidate for Mayor of Hamilton, and announced the “Building Bridges” Listening Tour — a series of conversations across the city to engage the community in shaping his platform and Hamilton’s future.

With his family by his side, speaking to a crowd of supporters, Loomis said Hamilton is at a critical moment and needs leadership focused on bringing people together and delivering results.

“I believe Hamilton is a city with grit, heart, and extraordinary potential,” said Loomis. “But right now, too many people feel like City Hall isn’t working for them—and that’s holding us back. We’re at a defining moment. If we don’t act now, we risk missing our chance to build the Hamilton we all know is possible. We don't have the luxury of getting it wrong again.”

As part of today’s launch, Loomis also announced the “Building Bridges” Listening Tour that will take place across Hamilton over the coming months.

“These won’t be speeches. They’ll be conversations,” said Loomis. “Together we will build Hamilton’s platform. It will reflect your priorities, your lived experiences, and your ideas for how we move this city forward.”

Loomis encouraged residents to get involved by volunteering, attending events, and helping shape the campaign.

“This campaign has a home for people from every corner of our city—and from every political background,” he said. “If you care about Hamilton’s future, there’s a place for you here. Just like you, I believe in this city, I believe in its people. And I believe that together, we can build a better Hamilton.”
